Museum Match Launch & Other App Updates from May 2024 to August 2024

Museum Match Launch & Other App Updates from May 2024 to August 2024

Since our complementary software launch for museums in late May 2024, we’re thrilled to announce that seven museums have on-boarded to our platform with overwhelmingly positive responses. Our first iteration of the museum software is officially live, and the feedback from the museum community has been beyond encouraging.

Here are some highlights from what they’re saying:

  • “This sounds awesome.” – Sofia Thornblad, Chief Curator, Sherwin Miller Museum of Jewish Art
  • “A really valuable tool.” – Kyndall Howard, Executive Director, Brown County Museum of History Inc.
  • “It’s very desirable because we are always trying to reach new audiences.” – Dr. W. Marvin Dulaney, COO, African American Museum of Dallas
  • “It’s almost like a dating app to find a museum; that’s what it reminds me of.” – Lea Hart, Social Media & Marketing Assistant, WK Gordon Museum

What’s New in This Update for our App Users?

  1. Museum Match Feature: Our new “Museum Match” function connects users with museums tailored to their interests, helping them discover institutions that resonate with them.

  2. Groundwork for User Groups: We’ve laid the foundation for group functionalities, paving the way for even more opportunities for users to connect and engage with art communities in the future.

  3. Profile Redesign for Artistic Self-Expression: The updated user profile now allows you to express yourself as an individual in the art world. You can review the  artwork that moves you, write comments to explain why these pieces resonate with you, and share your unique background and perspective in a general sense on your profile.

  4. Discover Shared Art Interests: You can now see what you have in common with others in terms of art preferences. Whether it’s a shared love for Jewish artists or a peculiar interest in paintings of apples, you can take a peek at others’ pages to find these connections and build community around your passions.

Looking Ahead

As we continue to build on this momentum, our vision remains clear: to create a platform that connects museums and art lovers in meaningful and innovative ways. The reviews we’ve received show that we’re on the right track, and we’re excited about what’s next. In our upcoming updates, you can look forward to even more user group functionalities and enhanced tools for exploring museums.

Thank you for being part of this journey. Your continued support is helping us revolutionize how museums and art lovers connect!
